On May 19, 2023, on the occasion of Science Day in Ukraine and with the aim of uniting representatives of the Ukrainian and international scientific community to discuss ways of supporting science and research in Ukraine during the war and integration into the world research space, by the National Research Fund of Ukraine with the informational support of the Ministry of Education and science of Ukraine, the popular science magazine 'Kunsht' and the project 'Science in danger' will hold the communicative event 'Science Day in Ukraine'.
Speakers of the event will be:
- Signe Ratso, Deputy Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, European Commission;
- Oleksiy Kolezhuk, head of the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Ukraine for Science and Technology Development;
- Roman Yermolychev, Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine;
- Yevhen Kudryavets, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine for European Integration
- Roman Hryschuk, People's Deputy of Ukraine, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science, and Innovation;
- Olha Budnyk, the authorized representative of the President of Ukraine on matters of the Fund of the President of Ukraine for the support of education, science, and sports;
- Yulia Bezvershenko, co-founder of the UAScience. Reload initiative and Science at Risk;
- Lidia Borel-Damian – General Secretary of Science Europe;
- Mateusz BYALAS – Director of the Representative Office of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kyiv;
- Vahan Turekian – Executive Director for Policy and Global Affairs, US National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine;
- Sebastian den Baek - Acting Director Internationalization and Knowledge Security, Netherlands Research Council (NWO);
- Gerson Sher - Member of the Board of International Advisors of the National Research Fund of Ukraine.
