In the NAUKA system, a personal cabinet for members of the expert ethics commissions has been created within the module for competitions of the National Electronic Scientific and Information System (NAUKA).
The primary task of these commissions is to ensure that experts adhere to the Expert Code in their work, particularly by being objective and independent during project evaluations, avoiding conflicts of interest disclosure, and refraining from disseminating information about projects, among other responsibilities.
This year, the competitions for research and development projects of the Ministry of Education and Science (MON) are being held for the first time in the National Electronic Scientific and Information System. This platform is not only used for project submissions but also for their evaluation. To enable the ethics commissions to fulfill their functions and have access to all necessary information, personal cabinets were deemed necessary for their participants. This functionality has now been implemented.
Recently, the first meeting of the ethics commission for the competition of scientific research and development projects of the MON took place. The commission was established last year, but its functions and work procedures were only approved in August 2023. During the inaugural meeting, the commission elected its chair and secretary (Volodymyr Pavlikov and Ivan Demidov, respectively), outlined general approaches to organizing its work, and demonstrated the functionality of the cabinets.
Currently, within the competition module of the NAUKA system, cabinets are operational for seven categories:
It is worth noting that on October 19, the Ministry of Education and Science approved the further development of the National Electronic Scientific and Information System.
