This is stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers' order "On the Redistribution of Certain State Budget Expenditures Envisaged for the Ministry of Education and Science for 2023."

This project involves the development of Ukraine's first 12U-format nanosatellite, which consists of 12 modules or "cubes." It was created by Ukrainian scientists, engineers, and students at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science and the State Space Agency of Ukraine.

The creation of this satellite at a technical university allows for the full cycle of designing, manufacturing, and testing nanosatellites in Ukraine.

The nanosatellite has been designed for remote Earth surface research using an optical system with medium spatial resolution. It will also test radio transmitters and antennas for space communication in various frequency ranges.

The plan is to launch the nanosatellite into orbit in 2024. Currently, systematic work is underway to address all technical, logistical, and organizational tasks.

Following the successful completion of the mission, the university's space program will also be developed in other technical Ukrainian higher education institutions. This will be a significant step in preparing highly qualified specialists in the field of space technology.
