On April 6, 2023, the presentation of the web platform 'Science at Risk' https://scienceatrisk.org/ took place.
The project was launched for scientists who suffered as a result of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Dozens of scientific institutions were destroyed or occupied, hundreds of scientists were forced to leave their homes, research, or workplace. At the same time, the state currently does not have the capacity to fully restore the entire scientific infrastructure.
In order to solve problems and address the needs of Ukrainian scientists to the international community, the platform 'Science in danger' appeared. Scientists will work in expert working groups that will analyze the situation in the country and look for ways to solve both immediate and long-term problems.
The project will offer Ukrainian scientists:
— a community for discussing issues of science development and sharing experience;
— possibility to receive grant support;
— possibility to continue research or start new ones with foreign colleagues;
— a platform for finding solutions to difficulties.
The project is supported by the Department of Press, Education, and Culture of the US Embassy in Ukraine, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Research Foundation. Responsible for the implementation of the project of the NGO 'Kunsht'.
