The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine announces a competition for awards named after outstanding scientists of Ukraine in 2024.
In order to honor scientists who published the best scientific works, made inventions and discoveries that are important for the development of science and the economy of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine awards prizes named after outstanding scientists of Ukraine.
a) active members and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, regardless of their place of permanent work;
b) individuals who work in scientific institutions, institutions of higher education, enterprises and organizations located on the territory of Ukraine;
c) collectives of authors who performed the work proposed for awarding the prize, if the majority of authors work in the institutions provided for in subparagraph "b" of this clause.
The right to nominate works for personal awards is granted to:
a) valid members and corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
b) scientific institutions, institutions of higher education, research laboratories and stations, design bureaus;
c) scientific and technical councils of ministries and agencies of Ukraine;
d) scientific councils on the problems of science;
e) technical councils of industrial enterprises;
f) scientific and engineering-technical associations and societies.
a) a published work (series of works) or materials about a scientific discovery (invention);
b) an abstract, including a scientific description of the work and conclusions regarding its importance for the development of science and the needs of the state;
c) copies of copyright certificates and certificates of discovery;
d) in appropriate cases, documents on the implementation of work (copies of resolutions, orders, acts and certificates on technical and economic indicators of implementation);
e) test reports (for new designs of machines, technological processes, etc.);
f) reviews of the scientific community, the press about the work;
g) a detailed reference in percentage-number form about the creative contribution of each member of the author's team to the work nominated for the competition. The certificate is drawn up separately for each author and is signed by the head of the institution at the author's place of work and affixed with a seal;
h) biographical information about the author(s) (surname, first name, patronymic, year and month of birth, specialty, honorary title, academic degree, academic title, position, work and home addresses, work and home telephone numbers; author identification code) in 2 copies, signed by him, and their compliance is certified by the management and the seal of the institution at the place of work, as well as a color personal photo 9 x 12 in paper and electronic form.

Works that have been awarded the State Prize of Ukraine, named prizes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and branch academies of countries, or special prizes of other departments awarded by competitions are not accepted for the competition.
Collections of scientific works by more than three authors are not accepted for the competition.

17. V.I. Trefilov Prize - for outstanding work in the field of physics of strength and plasticity of materials (Department of Materials Science of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine)
20. V.M. Khrushchev Prize - for outstanding scientific works in the field of electric power and electrical engineering (Department of Energy and Power Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).
21. D.F. Chebotaryov Prize - for outstanding work in the field of gerontology and geriatrics (Department of Biochemistry, Physiology and Molecular Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).
22. F.I. Shmit Prize - for outstanding scientific works in the field of art history and cultural studies (Department of Literature, Language and Art History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).
23. E.P. Fedorov Prize - for outstanding works in the field of theoretical and applied astronomy (Department of Physics and Astronomy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).
24. Prize named after M.K. Yangel - for outstanding achievements in the field of applied and technical mechanics and rocket and space technology (Department of Mechanics and Mechanical Science of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).
25. F.G. Yanovsky Prize - for outstanding scientific works in the field of therapy, clinical bacteriology and immunology (Department of Biochemistry, Physiology and Molecular Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).
