The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine informs about the architectural competition 'Rebuild Ukraine', which is aimed at finding innovative solutions for replacing destroyed residential buildings in the North Saltivka microdistrict, Kharkiv.
The organizer of the competition is WZMH Architects, the leading architectural bureau of Canada. The competition is held with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
As part of the competition, it is planned to design 200 new residential apartments of various sizes in the North Saltivka district of Kharkiv. The challenge is to use Speedstac modules and insulated Kingspan metal panels to build a new building or add to an existing one.
Participants are given the freedom to choose between designing a new house or compacting the existing building with additional apartments. There are various techniques and methods that can be used for redevelopment, including the complete demolition and construction of a new building, remodeling, additions and replacement of damaged parts of the building, or a combination of these methods.
The total prize pool is 10,000 Canadian dollars.
Registration of participants continues until May 12, 2023.
The deadline for project submission is June 16, 2023.
