Description

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announces an additional call for applications to participate in the project aimed at supporting the activities and modernization of Shared Research Equipment Centers (SREC).

The project includes:

  • installation of renewable power supply systems with a capacity of up to 40 kW to ensure the operation of SRECs;
  • modernization of scientific equipment;
  • upgrading of the material and technical base to ensure the reliable and sustainable operation of research infrastructure.

The deadline for submitting applications is August 13, 2025.

Eligible SRECs must:

  • have been established and be functioning within higher education institutions subordinate to the MES, in accordance with the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 703 dated June 21, 2022, "Certain issues regarding shared research equipment centers." The requirement of paragraph 7, subparagraph 7 of the Model Regulation does not apply to SRECs established before June 21, 2022;
  • be registered in the “Research Infrastructure Analysis Module” of the National Electronic Research Information System (URIS);
  • have not participated in the 2024 call for state budget funding.

According to the Basic Conditions and Directions for the Use of Funds, the higher education institution — the founder of the SREC — must provide co-financing of the costs for preparing technical documentation related to the installation of power supply systems.

To participate in the call, applicants must fill out the application form (in Word format) and send it together with a letter of guarantee to the MES.

This initiative is of strategic importance for the development of Ukraine's research sector, promoting energy resilience of shared equipment centers and enabling their efficient and stable operation.
