KPI Library, as the coordinator of the Ukrainian Repository Core, is launching a series of professional webinars dedicated to the development of Ukraine’s repository infrastructure and the implementation of international open science standards.

The first webinar in the series, “ORCID as the Foundation of Modern Scientific Identification for Institutional Repositories,” will take place on 26 May at 14:00.

Key topics:

What ORCID iD is and how the ORCID system works;
Why international scientific publishers, grant programs, and repositories require ORCID;
How ORCID helps avoid issues of ambiguous author identification;
How to integrate ORCID into repository systems (DSpace, EPrints, and others);
How ORCID authentication workflows work;
How ORCID interacts with other components of open science infrastructure;
How to ensure correct description of authors, affiliations, and research outputs;
International best practices for ORCID implementation used by European universities and research institutions.
