The UV-VIS spectrophotometer Agilent Cary 60 is a device unique in its technical characteristics for the widest range of spectrophotometric tasks, from routine analysis to unique specific analyses. The Agilent Cary 60 spectrophotometer operates under Cary Win UV software. The software package has a modular structure, which allows the user to equip the device with the necessary software modules for various applications, from industrial quality control related to wavelength scanning and concentration measurement, to scientific research with the measurement of kinetic dependencies and the need for thermal control. With high intensity and precision beam focusing, Cary 60 is ideal for measurements using fiber optic sensors and provides the ability to acquire kinetic data at up to 80 points per second. Measurement of liquid samples using fiber optic sensors does not require the use of cuvettes. The maximum scanning speed of the device is 24,000 nm/min. As a result, it is possible to scan the entire range of wavelengths (190-1100 nm) in 3 seconds. When measuring the kinetic dependences of slow reactions, the total time of continuous measurement varies up to 5 days without limiting the number of data collection points. The use of a small volume micro-cuvette allows for measurements with a sample volume < 4 μl, which is extremely important for valuable biological and chemical samples.
