Biography
Olena Kostiantynivna Koloskova — Professor (since 2009), Associate Professor (since 1999), Doctor of the Highest Qualification Category in Pediatrics, certified specialist in Endocrinology and Pulmonology.
In 1987, she graduated with honors from the Pediatric Faculty of Chernivtsi Medical Institute. From 1987 to 1989, she completed an internship in Pediatrics at the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital in Chernivtsi.
From 1989 to 1990, she worked as a pediatrician, and later as a pediatric endocrinologist, at Chernivtsi City Children’s Hospital No. 2.
Since 1990, she has been an Assistant at the Department of Childhood Diseases, Chernivtsi Medical Institute.
In 1994, she became the Head of the Clinical Department of the Research Institute of Medical and Ecological Problems of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, while continuing to teach pediatrics concurrently.
In 1994, she defended her Candidate of Medical Sciences dissertation in the specialty 14.01.10 – Pediatrics.
In 1999, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
In 2006, she defended her Doctor of Medical Sciences dissertation titled:
“The Health Status of Children Living in Areas of Combined Soil Contamination with Low Doses of Heavy Metal Salts and Technogenic Radionuclides (Clinical and Epidemiological Analysis, Treatment, Prevention)”, and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences in the specialty 14.01.10 – Pediatrics.
In 2009, she received the academic title of Professor of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
Since 2009, she has served as the Head of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
She is a member of the Attestation Commission of the Regional Health Department and the Coordination Council on Reducing Infant Mortality.
Research interests:
– Pediatric pulmonology;
– Pediatric ecopathology;
– Pediatric endocrinology;
– Intensive care in pediatrics.
Scientific achievements:
Author of about 400 scientific publications, including 20 utility model patents of Ukraine, 14 informational letters on healthcare innovations, and 20 educational and methodological manuals.
