Research Interest.

Diabetes mellitus; Atherosclerosis; Cardiovascular complications of diabetes mellitus; Diabetic cardiomyopathy; Diabetic neuropathies; Diabetic cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy: diagnostic and treatment.

Short Biography.

Education: Higher, Department of internal medicine of the Medical Faculty of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University. In 2010 defended Ph.D. thesis on “Metabolic and functional disorders in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiomyopathy”, specialization “Endocrinology”, and in 2016, a doctoral dissertation titled “Cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: pathogenesis, diagnosis, classification, prognostic value, treatment”. The author and co-author about 390 scientific publications, including 14 monographs, a textbook and a manual “Endocrinology”, manual “Urgent conditions in endocrinology”, “Diabetes Textbook: Clinical Principles, Patient Management and Public Health Issues.

Vice-rector of scientific work of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University,

Ph.D. in Medicine Sciences, DMedSc, Professor of the Department of Endocrinology of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University.

Association of Endocrinologists of Ukraine; Ukrainian Diabetes Association; European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD); European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS); Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease EASD Study Group, Shevchenko Scientific Society, Ukrainian Thyroid Association.

Participation in the EASD Robert Turner Clinical Research Course (Oxford, UK, 30 March -4 April 2008), the 26th EASD Scientists Training Course (Steno Diabetes Center, Copenhagen, 17-23 November 2019), as well as a number of others. Participant of 25 clinical trials, mostly as a subinvestigator.
