YULIIA KOZAK
PhD in Biology, Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Regulation of Cell Proliferation and Apoptosis, Institute of Cell Biology National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
Leading Engineer at the Interuniversity Center for Collective Use of Cell Biology and Bioenergy Laboratory, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
Born on December 28, 1992, in Mostyska, Lviv region, Ukraine.
In 2015, she graduated with honors from the Master's program at the Faculty of Biology, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Degree of Master with the Major in “Genetics” receiving the qualification of “Master in Biology. Researcher. Geneticist”)
In 2019, she defended her PhD thesis entitled "Mechanisms of Antioxidant Action in Modulating the Therapeutic Effect of Anticancer Drugs in Experimental Tumor Models in Mice", specializing in Biochemistry (specialty code 03.00.04).
Her scientific research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of apoptosis, as well as the effects of antioxidants and novel anticancer agents on tumor cells, particularly under conditions of chemoresistance.
She actively participates in both national and international research projects. She has served as the investigator in over 6 scientific projects funded by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the State Fund for Fundamental Research, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, and Presidential grants.
She is the author of over 40 scientific publications, including articles in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
She possesses practical skills in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and laboratory animal handling, and is proficient in flow cytometry, microscopy, ELISA, PCR, and studies of glutathione metabolism.
