Iryna Kostetska is a Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, researcher, and lecturer with extensive experience in strategic planning and economic development.
Currently, Iryna Kostetska holds the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Management and Marketing at the National University "Ostroh Academy." She is also a visiting professor at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland. In 2025, she earned her Doctor of Economic Sciences degree at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, defending her dissertation on “Strategic Planning for the Development of Rural Areas.” In 2012, she received her PhD in Economics from Lviv National Agrarian University, where she studied business planning in agricultural enterprises.
Her professional path includes teaching, research, project work, and consulting. She has worked at several higher education institutions, including the Carpathian Institute of Entrepreneurship at the University "Ukraine" and Lviv National Agrarian University. Additionally, from 2016 to 2020, she worked as an independent financial consultant for OVB Allfinanz Ukraine.
Iryna Kostetska has actively participated in numerous international internships and academic mobility programs in Poland, Italy, Slovakia, Sweden, Bulgaria, and France, including as a fellow of the Lane Kirkland Program, NAWA, the Visegrad Fund, among others. In 2024, she received the prestigious Ivan Vyhovsky Award, granted under the patronage of the President of Poland, as well as the “Philanthropic Brick” award for her volunteer work from the Foundation for the Spiritual Culture of the Borderland (Lublin, Poland).
In addition to teaching, Iryna is actively involved in project activities, particularly coordinating projects that support Ukraine's recovery within the framework of the Visegrad Fund. She has experience managing non-governmental organizations, including serving as the Executive Director of the NETWORK OF LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES.
Her main research interests include strategic planning, regional development, entrepreneurship, and the rural economy. She is the author of numerous publications, including those indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
Iryna is fluent in Ukrainian (native), English, and Polish. She possesses strong intercultural communication skills, experience teaching in international classrooms, as well as expertise in project management and grant proposal development.
