Roman Vydzhak was born on January 1, 1966, in the Lviv region, Ukraine.
09/1983 - 07/1990 - studies at the Faculty of Chemistry at Ivan Franko State University of Lviv, Ukraine (specialty Chemist).
11/1990 - 10/1993 - Postgraduate student at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine.
06.1994 - defended his dissertation "Synthesis of new types of 1-acylaminovinylphosphonium salts and their conversion into azole derivatives"
11/1993-11/2004 - Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine.
12/2004-– researcher at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Research interests: Synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, pyrazole, pyrrole, chromone derivatives and their condensed derivatives. Multicomponent cyclocondensation. Synthesis of libraries of potentially bioactive compounds and study of the relationship between structure and activity. Co-author of more than 60 scientific publications.
