Department of Pediatrics, Neonatology and Perinatal Medicine

The Department of Pediatrics, Neonatology and Perinatal Medicine is a structural unit of the Faculty of Medicine No. 1. At present, the Department teaches the following disciplines "Propaedeutics of Pediatrics" for 3rd year students of Medicine (Master's Degree); "Pediatrics with Infectious Diseases of Children" (Module 5 "Pediatrics") for 6th year students of Medical Care (Specialist Degree), and also provides training for Doctors of Philosophy and Doctors of Science in Pediatrics.

The Department provides postgraduate training of physicians, especially in neonatology and pediatric anesthesiology in specialization courses. Postgraduate education of doctors is carried out in cycles of thematic improvement, information and internships, including neonatologists, obstetricians-gynecologists, pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, general practitioners - family medicine and emergency doctors in the field of perinatal medicine within the framework of interdisciplinary integration.

Clinical bases of the department: Chernivtsi City Children's Clinical Hospital, Chernivtsi Regional Perinatal Center, Chernivtsi City Central Clinical Hospital (Clinical Maternity Hospital No. 2).
