Mykola Garas is Associate Professor (2015), of Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases Bukovinian State Medical University.
In 2006, he graduated from the Medical Faculty No. 3 of the Bukovinian State Medical University with a specialty of "Pediatrics". From 2006 to 2008, he studied at the Pediatric Master Course and internship at the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Chernivtsi Regional Children's Clinical Hospital.
During his studies at the Pediatric Master Course he defended his master's scientific and qualification work on the topic: "Substantiation of the bronchial asthma treatment in children taking into account bronchial hypersensitivity" (2008). Since 2008 - Assistant Professor of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases of the Bukovina State Medical University.
In 2010, he interned at the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Immunology of the P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, and having received a specialization in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
In 2011, he awarded PhD degree with scientific work "Severe persistent bronchial asthma in school-age children (diagnostic criteria and treatment)" supervisor - Prof. Leonid Bezrukov.
In 2014-2024 – Deputy Dean of Medical Faculty No3, since 2024 - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Member of the European Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases, the European Respiratory Society, the European Society for Immunodeficiencies.
