He was born on June 11, 1967 in the village of Kelmentsi, Chernivtsi region. In 1990, he graduated from the Chernivtsi Medical Institute, a surgeon by profession. He worked as a doctor. Since 1994 - at the Bukovyna Medical University (Chernivtsi). In 2006-2007, he was the head of the Department of General and Operative Surgery with Topographic Anatomy. In 2003, he defended his doctoral thesis. Since 2005 — professor, vice-rector for scientific work.
