Oleksandr Ivanovich Fediv (born on August 25, 1964 in Chernivtsi) is a Ukrainian scientist in the field of Internal Diseases, Gastroenterology, Doctor of Medical Sciences (2003), Professor (2005), Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at Bukovinian State Medical University (2006), academician of the National Academy Sciences of the Higher Education of Ukraine (2011), a doctor-therapist of the highest category (experience in the specialty - 35 years), a doctor-gastroenterologist of the highest category, a cardiologist, a rheumatologist, a doctor of ultrasound diagnostics.

In 1987, he graduated from the Chernivtsi State Medical Institute with honors, majoring in medical care. PhD since 1994. Doctor of medical sciences since 2003, professor since 2005.

After graduating from the Institute, he worked at the Storozhynetsk Central District Hospital: intern of the therapeutic department (August 1987 - July 1988), Head of the blood transfusion department and resident doctor of the therapeutic department (August 1988 - June 1989), doctor - endoscopist and resident physician of the therapeutic department (July 1989 - September 1991), endoscopist, gastroenterologist and resident physician of the therapeutic department (October 1991 - October 1992). Since November 1992, he has been working at the Chernivtsi Medical Institute (from 25.04.1997 - Bukovinian State Medical Academy, from 03.15.2005 Bukovinian State Medical University) - teacher-intern at the Department of Hospital Therapy (November 1992 - August 1993 ), assistant of the Department of Hospital Therapy with a course of Clinical Pharmacology (September 1993 - August 1996), associate professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy and Clinical Pharmacology (September 1996 - August 2003), professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy, Clinical Pharmacology and Occupational Diseases (September 2003 - August 2006), head of the Department of Internal Medicine (from September 1, 2006 to the present).

Areas of scientific research: internal medicine, gastroenterology.

Field of scientific interests: development of algorithms for early diagnosis and differentiated treatment of combined pathology of internal organs based on the study of genetic, metabolic aspects, systemic inflammation, and endothelial dysfunction.

Author of 670 scientific works, including 193 scientific articles, 14 monographs, 37 training and teaching-methodical manuals, 5 methodological recommendations, 5 information sheets, 5 innovations, 3 Declaration patents of Ukraine for inventions, 31 utility model patents, 34 rationalization proposals.

He trained 1 Doctor of Medical Science, 16 Candidates of Science, 3 PhD. Currently, he is the supervisor of 2 candidate theses and 1 thesis for the PhD.

Professor Fediv O.I. is the Chairman of the Public Association "Association of Therapists of Bukovyna", a member of the Board of the Ukrainian Gastroenterological Association, the Board of the Ukrainian Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, as well as a member of the International, European and Ukrainian Pancreatological Clubs, the European Association for the Study of the Liver, the executive secretary of the scientific and practical journal "Bukovinian Medical Herald".

Professor Fediv O.I. is the coordinator of the group of specialties in the specialty "Therapy" of the Department of Health Protection of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration.
