In 1988, he graduated from the Kharkiv Medical Institute with a specialty of "doctor - pediatrician". In 1988, he worked as an intern at the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital in Kharkiv. Since 1989, he has been a pediatrician at the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital in Kharkiv. In 1991, he was transferred to the Zelenogai children's home (Kharkiv district) as a psychiatrist. In 1994, he resigned from the Zelenogai children's home.
From 1994 to 2015, he was engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
