Біографія

Vitalii Ivanovych Hereliuk, born in 1969, graduated with honors from the Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical Academy in 1991. After graduation, he entered the clinical residency at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, which he successfully completed in 1993. Since 1993, after defending his candidate's thesis, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of the IFDMA, in 2001 he defended his doctoral thesis, and in 2003 he received the title of professor. In 2009, for significant achievements in professional activity and many years of conscientious work, he received gratitude from the Minister of Health of Ukraine. In 2010, he became the laureate of the award of the head of the regional state administration and the head of the regional council in the nomination "Famous scientist of the year". For 20 years, he headed the regional branch of the Association of Periodontologists of Ukraine. He manages the organizational, methodological and educational work of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry. He gives 80% of lectures on the subject “Therapeutic Dentistry”, “Propaedeutics of Therapeutic Dentistry”. He has multidisciplinary knowledge in various fields of dentistry. He received a specialization in orthopedic dentistry. He is fluent in English (B2). From 1997 to 2011, he participated in the work of the commission for professional examination of the medical licensing exam. He is a co-author of a textbook and 8 study guides for students of the Faculty of Dentistry. Herelyuk V.I. successfully combines teaching activities with research work. In 1993, he defended his candidate's thesis on the topic: “The role of platelet activation factor and eicosanoids in the pathogenesis of stress-related periodontal damage”. In 2001, he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic “The role of lipid mediators in the course of generalized periodontitis and the effectiveness of their correction in complex treatment”, in which he substantiated the feasibility of using a group of selective anti-inflammatory drugs and drugs based on polyunsaturated fatty acids (W3, W6) in chronic inflammatory processes, in particular in periodontal pathology. Under his leadership, in 2003, the first studies in Ukraine on PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) were started, which continue to this day. He possesses numerous clinical and laboratory research methods: he specializes in methods of examination and treatment of periodontal tissues, periotestometry, endomicroscopy, direct restoration and reconstruction of teeth, radionuclide and radioimmunoassay methods, thin-layer chromatography of lipids, etc. Herelyuk V.I. is the author of 250 scientific publications. 8 candidate dissertations have been completed under his supervision. He systematically reports on the results of his own scientific research at scientific and practical conferences
