On October 21, 2025, the Museum of the History of Astronomy was opened at Polissia National University in Zhytomyr. The museum’s collection includes around five hundred exhibits — from antique telescopes and measuring instruments to old Ukrainian-language astronomy books.

According to Oleh Skydan, Rector of Polissia National University, the collection is currently displayed in three halls, but there are plans to expand the museum to up to ten exhibition rooms in the future. The preparation and equipment of the premises took about four months.
