The competitive selection of PhD research projects within the framework of project-based doctoral studies will take place in 2026 as part of the implementation of an experimental project aimed at training Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidates under a new model — project-based doctoral education.
Submission of application materials for participation in the competition is carried out through the “URIS” information system, administered by the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine (SSTL of Ukraine). The system provides electronic submission, processing, and support of PhD research projects during the competitive selection process.
Project-based doctoral studies introduce a modern approach to researcher training that is based on the implementation of research projects within defined thematic areas. This model is intended to strengthen the integration of science, innovation, and national development priorities.

Submission of materials for participation in the competitive selection is open until 1 May 2026.
All documents must be submitted electronically through the “URIS” system, administered by the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine.
The detailed algorithm for submitting documents in the “URIS” system will be published later on the official website of the SSTL of Ukraine.
