The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has reviewed the submitted materials and included research institutions and higher education institutions that have successfully passed state evaluetion in the State Register of Research Institutions Eligible for State Support.

The State Register identifies institutions and higher education institutions that may receive additional state support, including in the form of tax benefits. This approach enables targeted allocation of resources to support the development of research activities.

In accordance with Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity”, the State Register is established to provide state support to research institutions regardless of their form of ownership, whose activities are of significant importance for science, the economy, and society.

The State Register includes research institutions and higher education institutions that, according to the results of state accreditation, are classified into groups A, B, or C.

Institutions and higher education institutions included in the State Register:

• are entitled to tax benefits in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine;
  
• may not change their scientific and scientific-technical activities to other types of activities;
  
• are required to allocate at least 50% of their income to scientific and/or scientific-technical activities and to the development of their material and technical base.
  

It should be noted that this year applications for inclusion in the State Register were submitted via the National Electronic Scientific and Information System (URIS), which significantly optimized and simplified the process. Moreover, for the first time, inclusion in the Register was granted for the entire five-year validity period of the state accreditation certificates.

In total, during the first application wave through the URIS system, 216 applications were submitted and processed, including 166 from research institutions and 50 from higher education institutions.

Following the meeting of the Commission on the State Register of Research Institutions Eligible for State Support, research institutions and higher education institutions were included in the State Register in accordance with Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 85 dated 22 January 2026, for the duration of the state accreditation period — until 31 December 2030.
