The year that is coming to an end has become an important milestone in the development of the state system of science governance and in shaping a unified digital scientific and information space of Ukraine. In 2025, the NAUKA portal and the URIS system continued to play a key role in ensuring transparency, consistency, and openness of processes in the field of science.

Throughout the year, the stable operation and further development of URIS digital services were ensured, providing a reliable foundation for the submission, processing, and analysis of data on the activities of research institutions and higher education institutions. A significant achievement was the implementation and support of reporting processes for research institutions and HEIs, the improvement of state attestation mechanisms, as well as the enhancement of the quality and completeness of scientific data that underpin evidence-based decision-making in science policy.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the scientific community, experts, and professionals, important steps were taken toward unifying approaches to the evaluation of research activities, digitalizing administrative procedures, and integrating Ukrainian science into the European and global research space. URIS is increasingly establishing itself as a tool that brings together data, analytics, and services essential for the development of a modern scientific ecosystem.

Looking ahead to the New Year, we remain optimistic. The year 2026 opens new opportunities for further improvement of URIS, the expansion of the NAUKA portal’s functionality, greater openness of scientific data, support for academic integrity, and effective interaction between the state and the scientific community.
