In 2023, ORCID improved upgraded Certified Service Provider Program by introducing criteria based on workflows unique to Research Information Systems, Manuscript Submission Systems, Grant/Facility Submission, and Repository Systems. This year, we are adding criteria to certify Discovery Systems.

ORCID is a community-driven organization that strives to work as openly and transparently as possible. So as with last year, ORCID encourage vendors, those responsible for reviewing and selecting vendor systems, workflow experts, and users of discovery systems, as well as other interested members of the ORCID community, to review and comment on the draft certification criteria for Discovery Systems until 29 February 2024.
