The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine announces a competition for the NAS of Ukraine Award “For Popularization of Science” for 2025.

The Award is granted in one of the following categories:

• Best popular science publication (or series of publications) about scientific developments and achievements, problems of science development, as well as publications in periodic print or electronic media about science (journals, newspapers, registered online media, scientific sections in media).
  
• Best science program (radio and/or television projects broadcasted on air or online), popular science film.
  
• Best science outreach project of the year (museum, exhibition, festival projects, lectures, science cafés, special thematic online projects, projects on social media, podcasts, blogs, and other formats that engage the general public with scientific achievements).
  

Procedure for nomination of candidates and requirements for document submission for participation.

Submissions are accepted until February 28, 2026.

Award winners will receive a diploma and a cash prize during the annual session of the General Assembly of the NAS of Ukraine.

The NAS of Ukraine Award “For Popularization of Science” is awarded annually to media and their individual representatives, scientists, organizers of science outreach and communication projects – for the best materials about scientists’ achievements, activities of research institutions, and the NAS of Ukraine in general, as well as for contributing to the popularization of science and enhancing the prestige of the scientific profession in Ukraine.
