Clarivate continues its Research Smarter educational webinar series, aimed at strengthening research integrity, fostering strategic collaboration, and supporting the effective use of analytical tools such as Web of Science and InCites.

Two thematic webinars are scheduled for January–February 2026. They will be of interest to researchers, scholars, analysts, library professionals, and research managers.

Topic: Awareness of Publication Retractions as an Important Element of Research Integrity

During the webinar, participants will learn what publication retractions are, the main types and reasons for retractions, and why the number of retracted scientific publications is increasing. Particular attention will be paid to the impact of retractions on the reliability of research and the maintenance of research integrity.

The session will also explain how Clarivate provides information on retractions across its information resources, enabling researchers to promptly identify retracted publications and maintain the integrity of their work throughout the entire research lifecycle.

This webinar focuses on the analysis of research collaboration in a globalized research environment, where partnerships have become a key factor for success. Participants will learn how Web of Science data can reveal patterns of international research collaboration and why balanced and inclusive partnerships are critical for advancing science.

The webinar will explore the role of unified data analysis in building collaboration networks, reducing regional fragmentation, and supporting equitable cooperation among researchers from different countries. Special attention will be given to practical approaches to using Web of Science data and normalized indicators in InCites for institutional decision-making and increasing the global impact of research.
