The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the State Scientific and Technical Library and the Leibniz Information Center for Science and Technology (TIB) invite you to the III International Conference "Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2024", which will be held online on October 24-25, 2024 within the International Week open access.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss the practical aspects of the implementation of open science and innovation in Ukraine. The participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences regarding access to research infrastructure, open scientific results, reforming the system of evaluation of scientific activity and Ukraine's integration into the European Research Area.

Conference panels:

Panel 1. Development and support of open National research infrastructure

-Discussion of the importance of the consolidation of scientific data at the national level, the experience of evaluating scientific disciplines with the help of CRIS.

Panel 2. Reforming the practices of evaluating scientific research and scientific activity of institutions of higher education and scientific institutions

-Presentations on data management skills and challenges in this area, including evaluation of projects of the National Research Fund of Ukraine.

Panel 3. Providing open access to the results of scientific research
-Analysis of new trends in publications and discussion of the importance of open access for quality science.

Panel 4. Open research data and research reproducibility
-Discussing an informed approach to open data, its relevance and reproducibility.

Panel 5. Prospects for academic freedom

Panel 6. Innovations in Ukraine: opening new horizons

Leading experts from Ukraine and the European Union will join the discussion, who will share their experience and best practices in the field of open science.
Until October 23, unpublished theses with original research, designed in accordance with the requirements, are accepted.

The conference covers a wide range of topics aimed at the development of open science, innovation and ensuring the availability of scientific results in Ukraine, and will also emphasize the importance of international cooperation and modern scientific practices.
