The German Leopoldina National Academy of Sciences is introducing a special scholarship for scientists from Ukraine whose scientific careers are threatened or interrupted by war, to enable them to resume or continue their research activities and remain in academic circles.
Funding is personalized and intended for outstanding scientists from Ukraine with a doctoral degree to work on an independent research project at a university or research institution in Germany for an initial period of one year, while leaving the possibility of maintaining affiliation with a Ukrainian institution.
At the stage before receiving the scholarship, it will be necessary to conclude an agreement with the host institution and the academic supervisor in Germany.
Financing and benefits:
— a monthly stipend of 2,400 euros during your stay in Germany;
— monthly one-time payment for travel and material expenses in the amount of 100 euros;
— monthly allowance of 400 euros for the first child and 100 euros for each subsequent child;
— support from the host institution and/or manager for career development and international connections.
