The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announces a competitive selection of scientific and technical developments to be funded from the state budget in 2024.

For the first time in this competition, 25 topics and initial technical tasks have been formed, proposed by leading ministries and executive authorities, including the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Strategic Industries, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, and the State Special Communications Service Administration.

The goal of the competition is to address specific current state needs through the implementation of relevant scientific and technical developments by the winning institutions.

The topics cover a wide range of tasks, from UAV navigation systems to industrial hydrogen fuel production technologies. Enterprises, institutions, and organizations of any form of ownership that have the necessary human resources and material and technical base can participate.

Main Innovations of the Competition:

• Formation of topics and initial technical tasks for necessary developments by the state: ministries and other central executive authorities according to their competence.
• Increased maximum funding for development.
• Introduction of the institute of curators from the customers and end users.
• Full digitalization of the competition process in the National Electronic Scientific Information System.
• A new procedure for evaluating applications through a combination of closed peer-review expertise and additional evaluation by a commission with the participation of the customer through a pitching presentation.
• Possibility of co-financing by small, medium, and large enterprises.

Submission of Documents:

Submission is done in the National Electronic Scientific Information System in electronic form. The deadline for applications is 12:00 PM, July 7, 2024.
