On January 19, 2026, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine approved a new version of the Procedure for Forming the List of Ukrainian Academic Professional Journals (Order No. 56, registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on January 28, 2026, under No. 129/45523).

The purpose of the updated Procedure is to improve the quality of Ukrainian academic journals used for awarding academic degrees, conferring academic titles, and licensing educational programs, as well as to promote their integration into the European and global research area.

Important deadlines:

• Current Category “B” academic periodicals will remain in the List until June 1, 2026.
  
• Founders of journals must submit applications to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for inclusion in the updated List through the URIS system by April 30, 2026.
  

The webinar is intended for founders and editors of academic professional journals who require practical guidance on preparing and submitting applications in accordance with the new requirements.

The webinar will be conducted by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine.
