Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is a modern, multidisciplinary, innovation-oriented research and educational complex. The essence of the university today is based on the synergy of educational, scientific, and international activities; in generating new insights; in meeting the demand of regional businesses and government agencies for high-quality scientific research; in enhancing human capital; and in fulfilling its social mission of urban development.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic comprises 9 academic and laboratory buildings, 12 faculties, 54 departments, an educational and production complex, 2 sports and recreation facilities, 5 separate structural units, student dormitories accommodating 2,300 residents, and a department for training reserve officers.

More than 10,000 students are currently enrolled at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, obtaining degrees at the bachelor's, master's, educational and research, and doctoral programs.

In recent years, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University has launched a number of innovative educational programs aimed at developing competencies in the fields of automation and robotics. These programs address the needs of both the industrial sector of the region and Ukraine as a whole for highly qualified specialists. They include such programs as Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies, Engineering of Robotic Systems, Intelligent Control Systems, Automation and Robotics in Aerospace Engineering.

The University has also introduced a unique educational program for Ukraine, Aircraft Flight Operations, developed in close partnership with PJSC Motor Sich.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is widely recognized throughout Ukraine for its established scientific schools. New research groups are being successfully formed and developed. Scholars of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University are engaged in research projects of strategic importance for the country.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is a regular participant in All-Ukrainian competitions.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic is a partner in joint projects under the European Union’s international grant programs (Tempus, Erasmus+, Horizon 2020), bilateral scientific and research projects, and more.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University has implemented a large-scale program to digitize the educational process. As part of this initiative:

• an electronic document management system and an integrated university management system have been introduced;

• more than 120 classrooms have been equipped with modern multimedia facilities;

• distance-learning platforms have been actively implemented;

• research projects involving the application of artificial intelligence in economics, information technologies, and engineering have been developed and expanded.

The university is actively developing its own innovation ecosystem. Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is home to several innovation hubs and laboratories designed to bring together students, researchers, and business representatives:

the European Digital Innovation Hub, the Engineering and Technology Hub, the Energy Innovation Hub, the Business Incubator, and the Startup Center.

The university hosts the NCP Horizon Europe in the Research Infrastructures activity area.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University has become the only university in Ukraine to implement a large-scale innovative project to modernize its own power system. Cogeneration units (CGUs) with a total capacity of 550 kW have been installed.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is a multidisciplinary institution of higher education that trains specialists to work in a wide range of fields and disciplines, guided by higher education standards, modern scientific achievements, and the educational traditions of Ukraine and the European Higher Education Area.
