Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology №2 was established at the Bukovinian State Medical Academy in January 1995. In order to improve the practical solution of the tasks of the maternal and child health care service in the Chernivtsi region, in December 2000, neonatologists were added to the staff. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology №2 was reorganized into the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology. From the first day of its establishment, the department was headed by Professor Olena Kravchenko. The structural division is located on the basis of the CNE "City Clinical Maternity Hospital №2" in Chernivtsi. CKMH №2 has the III level of accreditation and the status of "Child Friendly Hospital".

The main activity of the department is forecasting, prevention and treatment of placental dysfunction in groups of high perinatal risk.

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology carries out research work on the topic: "Development of differentiated treatment of primary placental dysfunction in pregnant women of the high perinatal risk group" (implementation period: 01.01.2021-31.12.2025).
