Department of Infectious Diseases

The Department of Infectious Diseases was established in 1934.

Nowadays, the department's training bases are:

1) KNP "Kyiv City Clinical Hospital № 4"; Solomyanska St. 17.

2) KNP "Central Primary Health Care Center of Podilskyi District of Kyiv" Nesterivskyi Lane 13/19.

The training bases use a modern multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, parasitic and helminthic invasions. Conditions have been created for advanced training and mastery of modern methods and techniques for the formation of competent specialists in the specialty "Infectious Diseases".

Classes are held at the department's clinical bases in classrooms equipped with the necessary computer and demonstration equipment. Students are provided with links to the main resources where you can find peer-reviewed articles, protocols and treatment standards.

The Department of Infectious Diseases is carrying out initiative-search research work on the topic: "Clinical and pathogenetic features of acute respiratory viral infections, viral hepatitis, intestinal infections, leptospirosis, Lyme disease, TORCH infections and their complications: optimization of diagnostics and treatment. (implementation dates 2024-2029).
