Dr Olena Hrybiuk is an associate professor and researcher in the Department of Computer Engineering. She is a data and AI scientist and software industry expert, as well as being the Chief Technology Officer at the Clever AI and Data Science Research Centre. She has over 23 years' experience of teaching and researching information technology, including software development, database technology, AI engineering, data engineering, data science, data analytics, IoT-based technologies and cloud computing. She sits on the technical boards of several international organisations and has reviewed and evaluated over 100 journal papers. She has also worked as an international examiner. She contributes to various research activities in the fields of AI and data science, and has published numerous articles in renowned international journals and conference proceedings. She specialises in the AI ecosystem, smart cities, blockchain technology, AI, ML, DL, IoT, robotics, data science, big data and teaching mathematics, statistics, probability and modelling processes using COMSRL, as well as educational management. She has participated in 17 research projects in either a leading or principal investigator capacity. Her research focuses on understanding the impact of expanding ICT tools on cognitive processes. This involves creating variable models of computer-based learning environments for studying subjects in the natural and mathematical sciences within educational institutions.
