Igor A. Kryvoruchko

Біографія

I was born on January 18, 1960. After completing my studies at Kharkiv Medical Institute in 1983, I started my medical career as a specialist in surgery. From 1983 to 2004 I worked as a surgeon-researcher and a vice-director at Institute General and Urgent Surgery named after V.T. Zaitsev of  National Academy of Medical Sciences, Ukraine. From August 2004 to the present I have been working as a Head of the Department of Surgery No. 2 at Kharkiv National Medical University (Ukraine) and a head-surgeon at Kharkiv Regional Hospital. I got a PhD in 1989 and became the thesis of doctor of medical sciences in 1997. I received a professor's certificate in 2002. I have become a Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology in 2009 for the development of methods for treating diseases of the pancreas. My professional skills include thoracic and abdominal surgery, vascular operations, operations in the field of diseases of the liver, extrahepatic ducts and pancreas, and colorectal surgery.

I have been awarded an Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine since 2021.
