The KPI Library invites researchers from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, as well as all interested participants, to join the international online event “Creative Commons Licenses: A Path to Open Science for Ukrainian Authors and Publishers,” organized in collaboration with Creative Commons experts.

Creative Commons is an international non-profit organization that develops open licenses and tools enabling authors to legally share their works, research results, and data. Creative Commons licenses are widely used worldwide to support open science, education, and access to knowledge.

Key topics:

  • Open science: global context and the transition to transparent research models;
  • Open licensing: practical use of Creative Commons tools for the legal dissemination of results;
  • Research data management: fostering a culture of handling scientific information and data;
  • Learning from international experience: exploring global practices in the use of licenses;
  • Local adaptation: mechanisms for implementing open licenses in Ukrainian universities.
