A pan-European consortium, consisting of well-known technology, financial, and business companies, has signed a grant agreement with the European Innovation Council (EIC) for a total amount of 20 million euros. The funds from the EIC will be directed towards the "Seeds of Bravery" initiative (UASEEDs), created to support the Ukrainian technological ecosystem.
Within the initiative, startups can apply for innovative services up to 10,000 euros per project. This grant is provided to help companies refine their business models, business plans, or growth strategies.
Additionally, from the planned budget, 12 million euros have been allocated to support Ukrainian startups in the field of deep tech innovations—those focused on developing global technological solutions. Startups can apply for five types of support and attract a total of 60,000 euros.
Support directions include:
The goal of "Seeds of Bravery" is not only to provide support but also to help Ukrainian startups attract additional investments, promote Ukrainian projects, teach entrepreneurs to enter international markets, and integrate Ukrainian innovations into the European network.
The project also plans to introduce more innovative services: analysis of intellectual property rights and patents, user experience piloting, demand testing or piloting, market analysis/validation, internationalization services (participation in conferences, fairs, and missions), portfolio management services, investor relations, planning, and digital tools for crowdfunding campaigns (equity capital).
Furthermore, the "Seeds of Bravery" initiative focuses on the development of women's entrepreneurship. Its goal is to have at least 20% of startups participating in the initiative founded or led by women.
