DANUBIUS YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD 2023: a competition is open for young scientists researching the Danube region

The Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research of the Republic of Austria, together with the Institute of the Danube Region and Central Europe, announced a competition for young scientists for 2023 to recognize scientific talents from the countries of the Danube region.

The 'Danubius Young Scientist Award' is an award for young scientists (up to 5 years after obtaining a Master's/Ph.D. degree) to encourage research in the Danube region.

One scientist from each of the 14 countries of the Danube region, including Ukraine, will receive an award of 1,350 euros. In addition, the winners will receive a personal invitation to visit one of the research centers in Ispra, Italy, in 2024.

Candidates for the award are nominated by the scientific organization (institution of higher education, scientific institution, academy of sciences, etc.) where they work or study. The selection will be made by an international jury.

Applications are submitted through the electronic system at the link-up to and including May 5, 2023.
