Science Development, Research Infrastructure, and Participation in Key MESU Projects Discussed in Mykolaiv

On 2 July, a working meeting was held in Mykolaiv bringing together representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU), regional and municipal authorities, and the scientific community of the region. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Denys Kurbatov.

The visit took place within the framework of the 23rd International Scientific Conference “Olbia Forum 2026: Strategies of the Black Sea Region Countries in the Geopolitical Space,” hosted by Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.

During the visit, participants discussed the development of science in Mykolaiv Oblast, support for universities, the state of research infrastructure, the region’s participation in the Horizon Europe programme, as well as public policy instruments that are already supporting higher education institutions and research organisations.
