The KPI Library invites researchers of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, as well as everyone interested, to join the online lecture “FAIR Data as a Standard: Building a Culture of Proper Research Data Management.”

Key topics include:

  • the benefits of openness for data and science;
  • research data management as an international standard;
  • the Research Data Management Policy: structure, requirements, and responsibilities;
  • FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) in everyday research practice;
  • step-by-step preparation of a Data Management Plan;
  • tools and resources: DMPonline, Zenodo, and re3data;
  • the role of university libraries in supporting researchers.

The event is organized as part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Ukraine’s participation in the international Open Government Partnership initiative.

Speaker: Svitlana Petrunovska, Deputy Director for Information Support of Education and Research at the KPI Library.
