The Ukrainian Nuclear Society, in partnership with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and JSC National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom, is conducting the "Atomic Innovators 2026" competition for projects in the fields of nuclear science, nuclear energy, and the nuclear industry.

The competition aims to support applied research in Ukraine and foster the development of innovative technologies in the nuclear sector.

The organisers invite young researchers, university students, PhD candidates, and employees of nuclear industry enterprises to participate. The competition offers an opportunity to present research projects or technological developments, connect with like-minded professionals, gain support for implementation, exchange ideas and experience with leading experts, and showcase original work in one of the following two categories:

1. Scientific Research
2. Applied Development

Submitted projects will be reviewed and evaluated by experts from leading public and private enterprises in Ukraine's nuclear sector, as well as distinguished scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and specialised research institutions.

Winners in each category will receive cash awards together with support for the further development and scaling of their projects.

The application deadline is 1 August 2026.
