Scholarship Programme under the “Qatar Scholarships” Initiative of the Qatar Fund for Development for Master’s Degree Studies at Doha University of Science and Technology

Description

Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the State of Qatar on Cooperation in the Field of Education and Scientific Research, signed in 2012, the Qatari side provides scholarships for Ukrainian citizens to pursue their studies.

Under this scholarship programme, the Qatari side will fund studies in Master’s degree programmes at Doha University of Science and Technology (UDST). Ukrainian students can apply for programmes offered by the College of Business, College of Computing and Information Technology, College of Engineering and Technology, College of Health Sciences, and College of General Education.

The programmes cover, in particular, such fields as finance, digital marketing, human resource management, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, engineering, healthcare, midwifery, and STEM education.

The scholarship covers:

  • tuition fees;
  • a monthly stipend;
  • accommodation;
  • health insurance and visa support;
  • a one-time laptop allowance;
  • transportation;
  • three meals a day.

Candidates must meet the academic requirements of the selected Master’s degree programme at UDST. An information booklet containing detailed information is available here.

The English language requirements include taking the UDST Academic English Entrance Test and achieving a score of at least 70 points, or meeting other requirements established by the University. Candidates who completed their previous education in English may be exempt from the relevant test provided that they submit a supporting document.

The following documents must be submitted for participation in the selection process:

  • a copy of the passport;
  • a Bachelor’s degree certificate and academic transcript;
  • a CV/resume;
  • a letter of recommendation;
  • a document confirming that the applicant’s previous education was conducted in English, or an English language proficiency certificate;
  • a certificate confirming the absence of a criminal record.

The Bachelor’s degree certificate, academic transcript, and certificate confirming the absence of a criminal record must be notarised and translated into English.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine accepts applications from candidates until 18 September 2026 (inclusive).

Scanned documents in .pdf format should be sent to: yevheniia.klymenko@mon.gov.ua. The email subject line must state: “Scholarships for Study in Qatar 2026”.

Documents submitted after the deadline or not meeting the specified requirements will not be considered.

Important notice

Due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the legal regime of martial law was introduced in Ukraine by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 64 of 24 February 2022, as amended.

In order to regulate the crossing of the state border by Ukrainian citizens while the legal regime of martial law is in force in Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced amendments to the Rules for Crossing the State Border by Ukrainian Citizens, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 57 of 27 January 1995.

According to Paragraph 219 of the Rules, in the event of the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, male Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 22 years (inclusive) are permitted to cross the state border.
