15 Joint Ukrainian–Slovak Research Projects to Receive Funding in 2026–2027

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has published the list of joint Ukrainian–Slovak research projects selected for funding in 2026–2027.

Following the competitive selection process, 15 projects have been approved for implementation by Ukrainian and Slovak research institutions and universities. The selected projects cover a wide range of research areas, including quantum systems, energy, fire safety, biotechnology, geophysics, cybersecurity, sensor technologies, electromobility, and advanced materials.

The call for proposals was announced on 6 October 2025 in accordance with the Protocol of the 7th Meeting of the Joint Ukrainian–Slovak Committee for Scientific, Technical and Technological Cooperation, held on 8 April 2025 in Bratislava.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Ukrainian–Slovak cooperation in science and technology, the outcomes of previously funded joint projects, the priorities of the new call, and opportunities to strengthen the participation of Ukrainian and Slovak organizations in the Horizon Europe Programme.

To date, a total of 53 joint research projects have been implemented and funded within the framework of Ukrainian–Slovak cooperation in science and technology.
