The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU) and the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine (SSTL) are launching a series of practical webinars dedicated to updating ORCID profiles and submitting data to the National Researchers System module within the Ukrainian Research Information System (URIS).

The first webinar will take place on 24 June 2026 at 15:00 (Kyiv time). The topic of the session is:

"Updating Your ORCID Profile for Data Submission to the ‘National Researchers System’ Module of the Ukrainian Research Information System (URIS)"

A properly completed ORCID profile is one of the key prerequisites for the accurate and comprehensive representation of researcher information in URIS. ORCID serves as the international standard for researcher identification, enabling unambiguous author identification, accurate linkage of researchers with their scholarly outputs, and automated data exchange between information systems.

During the webinar, participants will learn about the role of ORCID in the National Researchers System, which profile fields are essential for accurate data transfer, and how to correctly complete information on names, affiliations, education, publications, identifiers, and other relevant data. Speakers will also provide step-by-step guidance on updating and verifying ORCID profiles, managing privacy and visibility settings, and correcting common mistakes.

The second webinar will take place on 25 June 2026 at 15:00 (Kyiv time). The topic is:

"How to Correctly Complete an Application to the National Researchers System of Ukraine"

This webinar will focus on the practical aspects of data submission and verification. Participants will learn what the National Researchers System is, how it operates, and why participation is voluntary. Particular attention will be paid to working with the personal account in URIS, completing the application form, and submitting verified research achievements.

Topics will include publications and citations, grants, patents, supervision of early-career researchers, international cooperation, and other research and innovation outcomes. Participants will also learn why the system considers only verified and validated achievements, how to avoid common application errors, how the two rankings are formed—the overall researcher ranking and the separate ranking for early-career researchers—and what happens after the submission of data.

The speakers will also present a detailed guide prepared by experts from MESU and SSTL and provide practical recommendations for working with the system.

Both webinars will be held via Zoom and streamed live on the SSTL Ukraine YouTube channel.

Participation is free of charge. Registration is mandatory.
