On April 27 of this year, the seminar 'Digital tools for a modern scientific journal' will be held. Representatives of Crossref, MES and DNTB of Ukraine have been invited as speakers.

For modern scientific journals, digital tools have become indispensable attributes. They enable scientific publications to be available online, significantly reduce the time to publication of scientific articles, help article authors improve the quality of their manuscripts, expand research opportunities, track trends and analyze data related to publications.

One of the most important such tools is the DOI (Digital Object Identifier), a unique identifier used to refer to digital objects such as scientific articles, books, studies, and other materials. So, today, DOI is an important tool for scientific publications that want to ensure the accessibility, traceability, and authenticity of their publications.

The seminar is devoted to the problems of metadata quality and the development of digital tools for scientific publications, since the quality of metadata representation is an important component in maintaining the proper functionality of digital tools. Insufficient metadata quality can lead to problems with searching, indexing, and access to scientific publications.

Today, despite the availability of relevant information in broad access, many scientific publications use different metadata formats, which can lead to difficulties with integration, data exchange between different systems, as well as complications in updating and managing metadata.

The online seminar, initiated and organized by DNTB of Ukraine, is dedicated to the discussion of these problems.

The agenda of the seminar is provided below.

We will publish the link to ZOOM later.
