National Contact Points of the Horizon Europe Programme to Hold a Training Session on ERC Grant Competitions

On 3 June 2026, the National Contact Points (NCPs) of the Horizon Europe Programme will hold a specialized training session entitled “Successful Participation in ERC Competitions under the Horizon Europe Programme.”

The event is intended for researchers and project managers planning to apply for grant competitions of the European Research Council (ERC), one of the flagship funding schemes within the EU Framework Programme Horizon Europe.

During the training, participants will explore practical aspects of preparing a proposal for the ERC Advanced Grant call, launched on 29 May 2026. The programme will cover:

  • Key elements of preparing a competitive ERC proposal;
  • Effective project budgeting and financial planning;
  • Preparing the Principal Investigator’s CV and Track Record;
  • Interview preparation for the second stage of the evaluation process;
  • Proposal assessment criteria and evaluation procedures used by ERC experts.

Speakers and organizers:

  • Karina Shakhbazian – Head of the National Contact Point for ERC, Scientific Secretary of the Center for Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
  • Tetiana Popova – Head of the National Contact Point for ERC, Head of the Project Activities Coordination Department at Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas;
  • Anton Nanavov – Deputy Head of the Research Department for International Grant Activities at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
