On December 11, the winners of the All-Ukrainian School Olympiads in academic subjects and the All-Ukrainian competition of research papers by the members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine were awarded scholarships by the President of Ukraine.

The award ceremony took place in the meeting hall of the Scientific Council of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute." These scholarships are annually granted to young individuals who demonstrate a profound interest in studying scientific disciplines beyond the school curriculum, engage in scientific research, participate in conferences, exhibitions, and excel in Olympiads.

"Investing in youth means investing in our future. Today's scholarship recipients are tomorrow's leaders, scientists, and innovators. Supporting the potential of these individuals is crucial because their achievements will lay the foundation for successful transformations in Ukraine," emphasized Oksana Lysova, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The All-Ukrainian School Olympiads and the All-Ukrainian competition-defense are organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and represent the most widespread and massive intellectual competitions in Ukraine aimed at identifying, supporting, and developing talented youth.

"Recently, an international Olympiad took place in the Kingdom of Thailand, requiring knowledge in physics, biology, chemistry, and mathematics. It is the most challenging Olympiad. Two teams of three were nominated, and today we have the results - they won four awards. This is a significant achievement, the most significant in the entire history of our team's participation over the past 5 years," shared Stanislav Dovhyi, the President of the Junior Academy of Sciences.

According to the monitoring conducted by the Junior Academy of Sciences among scholarship recipients, monetary support has a positive impact on the self-development of young scientists. Therefore, the goal of the award is to support and encourage students to pursue successful studies and research.

In total, during the existence of the scholarship, nearly 4,500 schoolchildren and students who have excelled in education and science have become laureates of the President of Ukraine's scholarship. This year, among the winners, 168 scholarships were awarded to students in grades 8-11, and 102 scholarships were awarded to students from higher education institutions in Ukraine.
