The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has approved the third wave of Centers for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment (CCUSE) that will receive state funding in 2026 for the development of their material and technical infrastructure and the implementation of energy independence solutions. Among the 18 selected centers is the CCUSE “Digital Technologies and Research Data Management”, established at the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine (SSTL of Ukraine).

The total amount of funding allocated for the new wave of centers exceeds UAH 31 million. The funds will be directed, in particular, toward the deployment of alternative energy supply systems, including the installation of solar power stations, procurement of inverters, batteries, power management systems, as well as the modernization and technical upgrading of scientific equipment.

For the SSTL of Ukraine, participation in this initiative represents an important step in strengthening modern digital research infrastructure and ensuring the stable operation of services for the scientific community, even under ongoing energy challenges.

The CCUSE “Digital Technologies and Research Data Management” of the SSTL of Ukraine focuses on the development of services supporting Open Science, research data management, digital research infrastructure, and access to advanced information technologies for researchers and research institutions across Ukraine.

The allocated funding will enhance the technical resilience of the center, ensure the continuity of digital services, and create additional opportunities for the development of Ukraine’s research infrastructure in line with contemporary European approaches.

Today, CCUSEs serve as shared research platforms where scientists and research groups can access advanced equipment and technologies that require substantial resources for acquisition and maintenance. State support for such centers contributes to strengthening Ukraine’s scientific capacity, advancing Open Science, and fostering the integration of Ukrainian research infrastructure into the international scientific landscape.
