Applications are now open in Ukraine for the eighth edition of the L’Oréal–UNESCO For Women in Science Award, an initiative aimed at supporting talented Ukrainian women researchers, fostering their professional development, and promoting science among young people.

Three laureates will each receive a grant of UAH 500,000 to support the development of their research projects.

Applications are open to Ukrainian women aged 18–40 (inclusive) who:

• hold a scientific degree in a STEM field;
• are employed by a Ukrainian research or higher education institution;
• have their primary affiliation in Ukraine;
• have spent no more than six months abroad during the year.

Applicants must also:

• have publications in scientific journals indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science with a Ukrainian institutional affiliation;
• have no publications in predatory journals or participation in predatory conferences;
• be actively engaged in science communication and public outreach.

The application deadline is 30 August 2026.
